#1) Lowers Risk of Slip-and-Fall Accidents<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

If there’s a spot in your home or workplace where you constantly slip, you may want to use assist handles. They can lower the risk of slip-and-fall accidents. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)<\/a> says that 3 million Americans receive emergency medical treatment for slip-and-fall injuries each year. It only takes a single slip-and-fall accident to cause serious bodily injury. If there’s an assist handle nearby, though, you can use it to support yourself while walking over an otherwise slippery area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#2) Ergonomically Designed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Assist handles are ergonomically designed. They feature a strong yet comfortable handle that’s easy to grip. The handle isn’t awkwardly shaped. On the contrary, it features a straight rod-like shape that’s ergonomic and easy to use. All assist handles are ergonomically designed to provide a high level of comfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#3) Vertical or Horizontal Mounting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You can mount assist handles either vertically or horizontally. Assist handles are mounted like most other handles: They feature a set of through holes for threaded fasteners. After placing an assist handle in the desired area, you can drive a set of threaded fasteners into these holes. The threaded fasteners will hold the assist handle in place. Assist handles, however, can be mounted vertically or horizontally. Regardless of how they are mounted, <\/p>\n\n\n\n

#4) Long-Lasting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Assist handles are long-lasting. Most of them are made of a durable metal, such as stainless steel or aluminum. Both of these materials are corrosion resistant. Therefore, you can use stainless steel or aluminum assist handles both indoors and outdoors. Even when exposed to moisture, they will remain protected against corrosion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

#5) Removeable<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It’s also worth noting that assist handles are removable. Maybe you no longer need an assist handle, or perhaps you want to move it to a different location. Regardless, you can remove an assist handle by extracting the fasteners. Using a screwdriver, pull out the fasteners holding the assist handle in place. Other types of handles may require welding.
