Only then will you be able to choose a clamping knob in the correct size. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Refer to the diameter and height to determine the size of a clamping knob. Keep in mind, though, that larger clamping knobs are oftentimes easier to grip and turn, making them a popular choice for applications that require moderate torque.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mounting Type<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Something else to consider when choosing a clamping knob is the mounting type. Like with other industrial knobs, clamping knobs are available in two primary mounting types: stud and tapped. They are used in the same adjustment applications, but they require different methods to install.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The stud mounting type features a threaded stud. The tapped mounting type, on the other hand, features a threaded hole. You should choose the mounting type that&#8217;s compatible with the machine or equipment with which you intend to use the clamping knob. If the machine or equipment has a threaded hole, you should choose a tapped clamping knob.
