For maximum utility, however, you&#8217;ll need to choose the right storage rack shelving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solid vs Wire Decking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You should consider the decking when choosing storage rack shelving. Some units have solid decking, whereas others have wire or &#8220;mesh&#8221; decking. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Decking consists of the horizontal shelving levels on which you place objects. It can support a moderate amount of weight while retaining stable in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that some types of storage rack shelving may be made of multiple materials. Even if the frame is made of steel, for instance, the decking may be made of particle board. The particle board decking sits atop the steel frame.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Starter vs Add-On<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are starter storage rack shelving units, and there are on-add units. Starter units are standard storage rack shelving units that can be installed on the floor. Add-on units, as the name suggests, are additional storage units that are designed to sit atop a starter unit. You can essentially get more storage space by installing an add-on unit on a starter unit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check the Measurements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Always check the measurements when shopping for storage rack shelving. You should consider the height, width and depth. Cross-referencing these measurements with that of the space in which you intend to use the shelving will ensure you get the right type for your storage needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tall storage rack shelving will allow you to take full advantage of the vertical space in your work area, but it may require a ladder to access.
