They feature a threaded stud that can be inserted into threaded holes. Rather than turning a blind eye to a wobbly piece of furniture or equipment, you can stabilize it with a set of leveling studs. Non-skid leveling studs, however, go one step further by preventing skidding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overview of Non-Skid Leveling Studs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Non-skid leveling studs are adjustable threaded feet. Like all leveling studs, they feature a threaded stud that connects to a threaded hole. The difference is that non-skid leveling studs have a textured base, whereas other types of leveling studs typically have a smooth base. This textured base prevents skidding by creating traction with the floor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How Non-Skid Leveling Studs Work<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use non-skid leveling studs by installing them in threaded holes. They are designed for use with furniture and equipment, including workbenches, racks, tables, appliances, toolboxes and more. If a piece of furniture or equipment is wobbly, simply install four non-skid leveling studs on the bottom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Installation involves twisting the non-skid leveling studs into threaded holes on the bottom of the object. Ensure that all four studs are installed to the same height. Otherwise, the object won&#8217;t be level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Most non-skid leveling studs have three basic parts:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Threaded stud<\/strong>: a bolt-like stud with exterior threading that connects to a threaded hole<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Non-skid base<\/strong>: a textured piece of soft material &#8212; typically an elastomer &#8212; that grips the floor<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Swivel mechanism<\/strong>: a mechanical component that allows the stud to rotate and adjust to uneven floors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reasons to Choose Non-Skid Leveling Studs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Non-skid leveling studs offer several advantages, one of which is quieter operation. Machines and equipment can vibrate. Assuming they aren&#8217;t level, vibrations can cause them to move around, which produces noise. Non-skid leveling studs minimize noise by creating a stable base. You can use them to stabilize and level machines, resulting in a quieter workspace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to reducing noise, non-skid leveling studs can protect machines and equipment from premature wear and tear. Vibrations can cause bolts and other fasteners to loosen over time. If left unchecked, these loose fasteners can lead to component failure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Another reason to choose non-skid leveling studs is floor protection. Machines and equipment can scratch floors if they vibrate. Vibrations cause them to wobble and, thus, move across the floor. Depending on the extent of the movement, as well as the floor type, this may lead to deep scratches.
