What are box hinges used for?
Box hinges are used in applications where there is a requirement to not open past a certain point (typically ny knuckles that bind at a point). This angle is typically 90 (close to vertical) to 180 degrees and used in boxes, chests and etc. When the box is opened, the hinge is entirely exposed. WHen the box is opened, the knuckle of the hinge is visible. These hinges are typically brass to look more decorative.
