We are thrilled to announce that Matt Sheeley has been recognized as our Employee of the Month! Over his nearly nine years with OneMonroe, Matt has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. As the point person for our VMI customers, he has expertly balanced customer needs with our company’s best interests, resulting in significant growth. Beyond his VMI responsibilities, Matt has been instrumental in managing order processing for our legacy and MRO websites and has stepped up to support general sales and order entry.
Matt has long showcased his leadership and job proficiency, making him a catalyst for Walker’s continued success. His hands-on approach in processing and delivering VMI orders, building strong customer relationships, and assisting various teams demonstrates his versatility and dedication. Whether volunteering to fill gaps in our sales team or exceeding expectations in any role, Matt has proven to be an invaluable asset. Congratulations, Matt, on this well-deserved recognition!

“Matt is a catalyst to Walker’s continued success. His contributions were recognized at a branch level when he was recently promoted to Warehouse Manager. Before that, he unofficially assumed the role amongst his peers based on his leadership abilities and the proficiency at which he performs his job.
“In addition to his managerial duties, he’s integral to all aspects of our VMI programs. He not only processes and packages our VMI orders, he also delivers them twice a week, ensuring they go out promptly and accurately. Through all of this, Matt has developed great relationships with our customers. He is currently building new customer relationships through our website as he processes our internet orders as well. As if Matt wasn’t busy enough, he is always willing to help whenever and however he’s needed. A recent example is when he volunteered to help our sales team after an employee left unexpectedly. Since then, he has also been helping us process orders and quotes.
“Matt defies the adage ‘jack of all trades, master of none.’ He can jump into any role that’s asked of him and exceed expectations. If there’s something he can’t do here, we’ve still yet to find it. Matt has more than earned this recognition and deserves it for his contributions to our customers, to the Walker branch, and to OneMonroe.”

“Matt has been with us almost 9 years and has grown steadily both personally and professionally with a consistent focus on quality and customer satisfaction. He took on managing our VMI customers some years ago and has a deft hand when it comes to working directly with purchasing agents, shop supervisors and everyone in between. He is good at giving them what they desire while simultaneously making sure that coincides with the best interests of OneMonroe.
One VMI customer in particular has recently grown by $114,627 in yearly commitments as a direct result of Matt’s assistance in concert with Scott Datema in outside sales. In Scott’s own words, “…without Matt’s support, this would have not been possible!”. On top of being the VMI point person, Matt handles our legacy website/MRO website order processing and also stepped up to the plate to assist with general sales/order entry while we search for a few new hires for the inside sales team. Did I mention he’s also a newly minted warehouse manager? He’s really been serving in that role for a while but now he has the email signature to match 😉. Well done and well-deserved Mr. Sheeley!”
