“I can’t explain in words how Ryan Rhead has been an incredible mentor to me. An expert machinist who knows how to think out of the box and keep production flowing. He’s a machinist, electrician, maintenance worker all packaged into one. I wouldn’t be where I am without his knowledge and willingness to help with any issues
Tooling, RPM’s, feed rates, surface finishes, pulley ratios… Ryan knows off the top of his head and it is a pleasure to work alongside him.”

~ Jeff

“Ryan has always been the type of employee who takes ownership of any task he is given and completes it to the very best of his ability. This was especially evident when he was placed in charge of getting our newest machine up and running. When the machine first arrived, it was leaving unacceptable marks on the parts. Ryan worked through extensive trial and error involving collet and tooling alignment, different workholding methods, and various saw options until the marking issue was completely resolved.

It would have been easy to consider the project finished once the quality problem was corrected. Instead, Ryan continued looking for ways to improve the process. He recommended additional changes to tooling and equipment that reduced cycle time while still maintaining the quality standards and expectations of our customers. This is a strong example of continuous improvement—not simply solving the immediate problem, but continuing to make the process better.
Ryan also consistently demonstrates teamwork. He is quick to volunteer for overtime and weekend shifts when additional support is needed. His willingness to step in has helped the company increase output, respond to expedited customer requirements, and meet challenging lead times.

Most importantly, Ryan continues to lead his department forward. As foreman, he is responsible for helping train and develop the employees in his department. He makes himself available to answer questions, share his knowledge, and help others continue progressing in their roles. Having someone dependable and knowledgeable like Ryan leading this effort has been extremely valuable to the department and the company.

Ryan’s commitment to quality, improvement, and the success of those around him makes him an excellent example of our company values and a deserving candidate for Employee of the Month.”
