Nomination
“Hey Sal, where’s this drawing?
Sal, we need to know where this is on the assembly!
Can you please draw this so we can manufacture it then send the mark up to the customer?
Did those drawings get in the folder?
“Being the go to guy for anything Engineering related is a demanding job out here at Monroe Ira; on any given day you’re fielding questions from the office, shop floor, vendors, and customers on everything we do… That specific helicoil going in that high precision DoD Part? Got you covered. Redesigning the counterbores so those bolt heads aren’t interfering with the rest of the assembly? No problem. Bob B is on line 2 and he’s got questions about this prototype, Sal can you please figure this out with him? Too easy.
“Without Sal, it would be hard for us to function out here at Ira; even some of the other OneMonroe Divisions have made use of Sal’s skills… More often than not if there’s a need to convert a DXF or a STEP into another format, it’s going to cross Sal’s desk before we send it back out. On top of that, he’s the guy tracking where those spare parts went that we made however long ago. Then when we need them, Sal knows which bin on which shelf we need to go to in order to find them. When it’s time to put the job away, Sal’s the guy collating all the mark ups and checking off the final engineering so that when we have to do it again that information is all in one place and ready to go.
“All that being said, he has a demanding job with a tough crowd yet he gets it done with a smile and constantly positive attitude. That’s why we’re nominating Sal for Employee of the Month for OneMonroe.”
