How a Quick Release Pin Works
Quick Release Pins are mainly used in applications requiring rapid, frequent and manual assembly and disassembly of products.
When installed, a spring loaded ball projects out of the pin shaft into a hole or detent, locking the pin in place.
The pin can only be removed when the user presses a button on top of the handle. This button releases the spring pressure holding the pin locked in position, allowing it’s removal.
Quick release pins without a button can be removed by simply pulling them out.
